I want to know what you <em>accomplished<\/em>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Focus on showing the impact you made in your previous roles.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Your r\u00e9sum\u00e9 should answer these questions:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>What were the results of your work?<\/li>\r\n<li>How did you change the outcome for your company?<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Quantify your achievements<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It\u2019s not enough to just say you accomplished something. They want to know you have a track record of success and can prove what you resume says about you.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Anecdotes over everything<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Recruiters will ask you about your experience. How do you show you\u2019re capable?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Stories stories stories.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Be prepared to provide specific examples of how you\u2019ve \u2026<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>handled certain situations,<\/li>\r\n<li>overcome specific challenges<\/li>\r\n<li>and gotten the outcomes you desired.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Let\u2019s say you applied for a management role. Recruiters will ask you for an example of when you had to motivate your team to achieve a difficult goal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Be prepared to provide real anecdotes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>Note: If you\u2019re just starting out in a new industry or your first job, dream up a situation and detail exactly how you would act. Because you can bet your bottom dollar they\u2019re imagining you in that job.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Explain why you made certain decisions in the past and how those decisions resulted in positive outcomes. Because you\u2019ll likely face many of the same challenges in their position.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Demonstrating your thought process shows you understand the role and the impact you\u2019ll have.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Be honest about your mistakes (but learn from them)<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>No one\u2019s perfect. And no one understands that better than recruiters.
